What was disputed, and how it came out
Each issue the panel decided, with the reasoning it gave. An outcome is what this panel did on this record — not a rule, and not a prediction.
The Appeals Board granted the petition for reconsideration because it acted timely within the 60-day period after transmission of the case to the Appeals Board, as required by Labor Code section 5909.
From the decision · page 3For the foregoing reasons, IT IS ORDERED that the Petition for Reconsideration is GRANTED. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED as the Decision After Reconsideration of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board that the WCJ's decision of October 7, 2024 is RESCINDED and this matter is RETURNED to the trial level for further proceedings and decision by the WCJ.
